Community Guidelines

Version 2026-06-17

PASS works because tutors and students trust each other. These Guidelines define the conduct we expect from everyone. Violations result in warnings, suspension, or a permanent ban depending on severity.

1. For everyone

  • Be respectful. No harassment, slurs, threats, or discrimination on the basis of race, religion, gender, sexuality, disability, or any other protected category.
  • Be honest. Don't misrepresent your identity, school, age, or qualifications.
  • Keep it on-platform. Don't take bookings, payments, or contact off PASS to avoid fees, safety checks, or a paper trail.
  • Protect minors. If a learner appears to be under 13 without verified parental consent, stop and report it.

2. For tutors

  • Show up on time, prepared. If you can't make a session, cancel as early as possible.
  • Follow our Academic Integrity Policy. Do not complete graded work for a student.
  • Do not ask students for personal contact info (phone, social), gifts, or favors.
  • Never meet a minor learner alone off-platform.
  • Do not retain or redistribute course materials a student shares with you.

3. For students and parents

  • Treat tutors as the professionals they are.
  • Don't ask a tutor to take an exam or write graded work for you.
  • Use the in-app messaging — it's there for safety and for dispute evidence.
  • Leave honest reviews. Don't post defamatory content or personal information about a tutor.

4. Reporting

Report violations to support@passtutoring.com. Include screenshots, booking IDs, and as much context as possible. Reports may be anonymous. We acknowledge reports within two business days.

5. Enforcement

  • Warning: minor first-time issues (tone, lateness).
  • Suspension: repeated minor issues or a single serious one (off-platform solicitation, academic-integrity breach, harassment).
  • Permanent ban: safety violations involving minors, fraud, harassment, doxxing, or any criminal activity. We may report to law enforcement and to the user's school when appropriate.

6. Appeals

If your account is suspended, email support@passtutoring.com within 14 days for a one-time review. An admin not involved in the original decision will respond within five business days.
